
HUGO ENRIQUE LOPEZ (MEXICO)
Hugo Enrique López is a classical guitarist originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, who stands out in the musical field for his talent and dedication, participating in various national and international competitions and obtaining important recognitions. He began his musical studies in 2004 at the Casa de la Cultura Oaxaqueña, under the guidance of maestro José Manuel Vidal. Later, he entered the Faculty of Music at the Universidad Veracruzana, where he perfected his skills with outstanding teachers such as Alfredo Sánchez, Hiroyuki Morinaga and Gustavo Castro. In 2018 he completed his Bachelor's degree in Music, receiving the highest grade and special mention from the jury. In 2020 he was accepted into the VIII Master's Degree in Guitar Performance in Alicante, where he was awarded a scholarship by Alhambra Guitarras to pursue his postgraduate studies. He has received master classes with David Russell, Ricardo Gallén, Paveil Steidl, Remí Boucher, Xavier Díaz-Latorre, Hopkinson Smith, Gianpaolo Bandini, Mauro Zanatta, Ignacio Rodes, Pablo Garibay, Roberto Aussel, Horacio Franco and Claudio Marcotulli among others. His repertoire focuses mainly on 20th century compositions from various Latin American and European countries, showing a deep respect for tradition and a great interest in exploring new sounds. Hugo Enrique López, has given concerts in various cities in Mexico and has participated in important guitar festivals, and for his work he has obtained multiple recognitions in various national competitions, highlighting his first places in events such as the First National Guitar Competition in San Luis Potosí, the National Competition "Alfonso Moreno" and the XII National Guitar Competition "Ramón Noble".
