
GONZALO FRANCO (URUGUAY)
He is a flamenco guitarist and composer from Montevideo, Uruguay. He plays an Alhambra model 8 Fc guitar. Gonzalo Franco has played on stages in Spain, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Germany, Australia, Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. He works as a professional musician and as a flamenco guitar teacher at the flamenco art center "La Plazuela" in Montevideo, Uruguay. Gonzalo Franco was the first Uruguayan musician to publish flamenco guitar material. He has released two albums, "Libre" and "In Pulso", both with original music. In 2012 and 2015 he opened the concerts that the artist "Tomatito" presented in Montevideo, as well as sharing the stage. He was the guitarist for the musician Jorge Pardo in his closing concert at the Montevideo Jazz Festival in 2013. He has shared the stage and accompanied the dance of international figures of flamenco dance such as "Torombo", Carmen Ledesma, David Morales and Carmen Talegona, among others. His guitar has been used in various recording projects by Uruguayan artists, as well as in theatre plays and audiovisual productions.
