THE STICKER (SPAIN)

La Pegatina is, without a doubt, the best emotional boost that can be had on stage. Their party is unusual for being energetic, fun and danceable. The group began their career in 2003 under the name Pegatina Sound, and began touring the peninsula and playing at festivals and concerts. Their first album was released in early 2007. It was titled Al carrer! and, in addition to mixing languages such as Spanish, Catalan and Galician, they collaborated with artists such as Manu Chao, Gambeat, Che Sudaka and Txarango. The result was 4,500 copies sold, 180,000 Internet downloads and a tour that took them to Switzerland, France, Italy and Spain, where they performed more than 250 concerts. In February 2009 they presented their new album, Vía Mandarina, produced by Kasba Music and recorded at the "La Atlántida" studios. They collaborate with musicians from D'Callaos and El Puchero del Hortelan, among others. Once again, they also express themselves in different languages such as Catalan, Galician, Spanish, The band is a very popular band in the Basque and Portuguese languages. The 2009 tour ("Via Mandarina Tour") included performances in Spain, England, France, Germany and Switzerland, among others. The group established itself as a phenomenon that breaks with all the old foundations of the music industry, continuously attached to social networks and followed by thousands of fans, despite being part of the non-commercial circuit. At the beginning of 2010 they received the award for Best Pop/Rock Artist of 2009 from Enderrock magazine and also the award for Best Website (www.lapegatina.com). This served to give a new push to the project and to rise as a reference group also in Europe. In February 2011 they presented XapomelͶn, the album that would consolidate them as one of the great national and European groups. Joan Chaparral, Amparo Sánchez (Amparanoia), the rappers Indigna and the Sey Sisters participated in the album. "‹In their later albums they have collaborated with artists such as Mario Díaz, Romi Anauel, Love of Lesbian, Esne Beltza, and the Sicilians Baciamolemani, "‹Dubioza Kolektiv, Capitán Cobarde, Ska-P, Hangga i, Turtle Island, Ms Maiko, Rayden, Oques Grasses, Gambeat, Che Sudaka, Capitán Cobarde, Esne Beltza and Travis Birds. In February 2016 they announced "La Gran Pegatina", a big band with the addition of seven new musicians, and who will perform for five months starting at the Viña Rock festival. Spectacle and adrenaline to ecstasy. They never tire of spreading joy and madness wherever they go. They have been seen in more than 35 countries (Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Uruguay, China, Japan, Canada and much of Europe) and have given more than 1,200 concerts in just 18 years of existence. Their style is varied: they go from merengue to rumba or ska with great ease to end up driving people crazy with gypsy punk or, simply, hooligan chants. Versatile and anaerobic, La Pegatina has already released eight albums, two documentaries, a book and a live album with La Gran Pegatina.
