Andrea plays an Alhambra Guitar, José María Vilaplana NT Series, model. She is a Spanish classical guitarist, considered one of the young promises, and her concert career confirms this. At the age of eight she gave her first concert and since then, this guitarist has not stopped her career as a concert artist. At the age of seven she began her guitar studies under the tutelage of her mother Ana María Caballero at the Andrés Eguiguren music school in Eibar. At the same time she received classes from the teachers Bienvenido Rodríguez and Carmen Becerra until the age of twelve. In 2010 she began her advanced studies at the Robert Schumann Conservatory of Music in Düsseldorf (Germany) where she graduated in 2014 with the teacher Joaquín Clerch. Andrea is the winner of the XIII Alhambra Guitar Competition held last June in Valencia. She has been invited to play at international festivals such as the "International Guitar Festival of Szeged" in Hungary, the "Monterrey Guitar Festival" in Mexico, or the "Isaac Nicola Festival" in Havana, Cuba. She has given concerts in different cities in Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Alicante, San Sebastian, Pamplona...), Italy, Holland, Germany, Cuba, Mexico and Hungary. At the age of 17 she made her debut with the "Andrés Eguigure" orchestra at the Coliseo theatre in Éibar, Guipúzcoa, performing as a soloist the concert "Fantasía para un geltilhombre" by Joaquín Rodrigo. In 2003 she performed as a soloist with the guitar orchestra of the San Sebastian Conservatory at the Kursaal auditorium. She has received scholarships from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Bonn, DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), AIE Society of Performing Artists of Spain, "Diputación Foral de Guipúzcoa" and the "Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Éibar". In 2013 she obtained an Erasmus scholarship to study at the Klagenfurt School of Music, Austria, with maestro Marco Tamayo. International competitions Andrea González has participated in numerous international competitions, winning more than 20 awards, including: 1st Prize in the 40th F. Sor International Competition (Rome) and the special "Carla Minen" Prize for the best interpretation of the works composed by F. Sor. David Russell Honorary Award for young talents (Vigo). 1st International Guitar Prize held in Weimar (Germany). 1st Prize in the F. Tárrega Competition (VilaReal). 1st Prize in the Daniel Fortea International Competition (Castellón). 1st Prize at the 12th Zarautz Guitar Festival. 1st Prize in the 1st Young Musicians Competition of the Basque Country. 3rd Prize in the Norba Caesarina International Competition (Cáceres). 3rd Prize in the Andrés Segovia International Guitar Competition (Linares). · 1st prize in the Alhambra International Guitar Competition Discography Andrea Gonzalez Caballero is her first CD and was recorded by Naxos Records in Toronto, in January 2017, with the collaboration of Alhambra Guitars.
