
PEPE JUSTICE (SPAIN)
José Moreno Justicia, "Pepe Justicia" was born in the province of Jaén. At the age of 12 he began to play the guitar in an autodidactic way. From the age of 15 he performed with singers from his land in Andalusia, in Peñas and flamenco festivals, until at 19, he went to Madrid to enter the professional environment. From that moment until the present his performances have taken place inside and outside our borders, as an accompanist for artists of flamenco singing and dancing and later as a concert artist and with his own group. In 1984 he returned to Andalusia residing in Granada and later in Jerez de la Frontera from where, alone or together with artists from Jerez, he continued his career as a guitar concert artist and with his own group. He also accompanies the most outstanding singers and dancers of Jerez. He has recorded several CDs with his own compositions and has collaborated in recordings of different types of music from Classical to Jazz or Pop. Currently and since 2006 he is a Professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Danza in Malaga. Pepe Justicia has an extensive professional career. Since 1979, when he decided to dedicate himself exclusively to the guitar, he has performed both within and outside our borders. He performs in the main venues in Madrid where flamenco is programmed (Florida Park, Los Canasteros, Centro Cultural de la Villa de Madrid,"¦) as well as in Andalusia and the rest of Spain. Outside Spain he has performed in Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Holland, Portugal, Andorra, Italy, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Switzerland, Mexico, the United States, Venezuela, the Caribbean countries, Monte Carlo, Morocco, Dubai, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania "¦ Pepe Justicia has collaborated with a large number of flamenco artists and musicians of different styles. Within the flamenco world he shares the stage with artists such as Chocolate, Enrique Morente, Rancapino, Turronero, Chano Lobato, El Capullo de Jerez, Perro de Paterna, Curro de Utrera, Gabriel Moreno, La Tati, Mariquilla, Carmen Cortes, Joaquín Grilo, Felipe Campuzano, Gerardo Núñez, Manolo Sanlucar, Nina Corti and many others. His musical activities have not only been limited to flamenco, but, interested in other forms of expression, he regularly collaborates with jazz musicians (Henry Kneuer, Chano Domínguez, Tito Alcedo, JA Galicia"¦) Folk, Pop Ͳ Classics (Pepe Justicia regularly collaborates with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, performing, among other works, the Aranjuez Concerto) and also in theatrical productions.
