
JOSE LOSADA (SPAIN)
José Losada studied with the great flamenco guitar teacher Entri, electric guitar teacher Carlos Camarasa and harmony teacher Pipo López in Madrid. He has played with guitarists such as Paco de Lucía, Dayán Abad, Jopi Eric and Juan Calleja, among others. In 1987 he attended the Madrid musicians' workshop with Richi Ferrer, a great bassist and double bassist specialising in jazz. José Losada formed the group Amalgama together with musicians such as Antonio Ramos Maca, a bassist with whom he acquired a great deal of knowledge as an interpreter of this musical instrument. José Losada admired his cousins and uncles from a very young age and wanted to emulate them by following the path of flamenco guitar. At the age of fourteen he made his first big leap onto the main stage at the Teatro de La Latina with his cousin Iván Losada. This extraordinary artist who began his career in the tablaos of Madrid has toured around the world with shows such as Las Mil y Una Noches, Misa flamenca, Vertiges, etc. He has also worked with such relevant figures as Antonio Canales, José Maya or Jesús Carmona .
