AMPARANOIA (SPAIN)

Amparanoia (1997 - 2008) was the name of the musical group created by Amparo Sánchez, one of the pioneers of fusion music in Spain. The group was born in 1996 in the Lavapiés neighborhood (Madrid) and was a pioneer of the fusion of the late 90s in our country and an international reference with a long career full of albums (eight), tours and recognition. In 2022 they met for the first time in the studio with the group Artistas del Gremio, a brass band from Zaragoza, and recorded the song and video clip for "Mi Genética, Charanga Versión", the second, was at a legendary concert in Granada at the end of Amparanoia's tour on the occasion of the band's 25th anniversary. The chemistry with Artistas del Gremio was so strong that they began to plan to record together, and so they did. From that third meeting blossomed the recordings of unreleased songs and also of versions of the classic repertoire of the Andalusian artist: A Balkan-Mex-swing-electro-charanga-mestiza bomb!!! As a result of this mixture, strength and versatility, 3 singles and video clips have been released, "Algo esta pasan", "La Balanza" and "Fanfarria". In 2024 the full album "Fan Fan Fanfarria" will be released in limited edition blue vinyl format and on digital platforms. The two bands will tour together with an overwhelming live show, on a tour that will take them in 2024 and 2025 to stages in our country and the occasional international surprise.
