Each strap consists of an open loop to pass over one shoulder and under the opposite arm (usually the right arm for a right-handed guitarist). At the end of each part there is a hook to attach to the guitar neck, allowing the guitar to rest on these. When using this classical guitar strap, you can release your hands and the instrument will be attached to the player's body.
